KTMs are well-known for their powerful engines and stunning designs. The brand faces no significant power competition, at least in the lower segments. However, it appears that an old KTM Duke 250 adversary is about to make a comeback in the country after a long absence. Should KTM be scared? Let us have a look at the future Benelli 250cc bike in India.
Upcoming 250cc Motorcycle in India : Spotted Testing
KTM may soon face some heating issues from Benelli, as the firm prepares its old Leoncino 250 in the country. Although the bike was retired in 2020, it was recently observed testing on busy Indian highways, indicating a rebirth. The new 250 Benelli will be more akin to its previous iteration, which was on sale in India a few years ago. The spotted bike resembles its older predecessor, which is comparable to Husqvarna bikes.

However, there is a little difference in the headlamps, which look to have been redone, as well as the USD forks in the front and monoshock in the rear. We anticipate that Benelli will provide a TFT cluster in place of the old LCD unit that was installed on the discontinued model. The vehicle will continue to ride on 17-inch alloy wheels.
What Else?
There are no big changes to the incoming 250cc bike. Nonetheless, it will be powered by the same 249cc, single cylinder, liquid-cooled engine as previously, with some modest changes to meet with the most recent emission standards. The engine will be mated with a six-speed transmission.

The launch date has yet to be determined, but the model is likely to arrive in the country shortly. Speaking of cost, it will be one of Benelli’s most economical offers in India.
