After much conjecture, the Maruti Ciaz has been officially withdrawn in India. The compact sedan was debuted in India in 2014 and remained on the market for more than ten years before Maruti chose to discontinue the popular model. We received an official statement from Maruti Suzuki regarding the Ciaz, and this is what they had to say about the discontinued car.
What Does Maruti Say?
Regarding the cessation, an official remark from a brand spokeswoman verified the rumors, saying, “The Ciaz brand is still part of our portfolio. However, like with any strategy, we will continue to assess our lineup based on customer preferences, legislative developments, and market trends.” He also stated, “When a brand is very strong, forms can change from time to time.”

According to the aforementioned statement, the discontinued Ciaz nameplate may make a comeback in a different shape, as we have seen with the Baleno.
Notably, the Maruti Baleno, which is now available in hatchback form, was originally introduced as a sedan in 1996. It was terminated later in 2007, but was reintroduced in 2015 as a hatchback.
However, we will refrain from speculating further until the automaker formally verifies or dismisses these allegations.
